Richard Taliwood is a
Navajo artist with a slight amount of Hopi ancestry. He paints very
detailed abstract paintings with acrylics on a base of sand that is
glued to canvas. He paints both Navajo and Hopi designs that are very
soft and pleasing in color. Some of his paintings are reminiscent of
deceased artist Helen Hardin.
